QUITMAN, Ga. - Dorothy Slay Birchmore, 91, of Quitman, passed away at home on January 22, 2009. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Birchmore, she is survived by her loving son, Charles C. Birchmore, Jr., and daughter- in-law, Ricanne P. Birchmore, of Valdosta, Ga. and her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Leigh Birchmore, of Nashville, TN and C. Clinton 'Clint' Birchmore, III, of Valdosta, Ga. Burial will be held at a later date in a private family cemetery in Maxeys, Ga. The family would like to thank Joan Waters for the loving care Mrs. Birchmore received, and the wonderful staff of both the Presbyterian Home in Quitman and the Presbyterian Home Hospice.
