Elnora Johnson Thomas (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Elnora Johnson Thomas of Hampton Circle entered into rest Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the University Hospital. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Janu- ary 24, 2009, at 11 a.m., at Meadowbrook Drive Church of Christ with Bro. Carl Jones and Bro. Solomon Ware, III, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. She was a native of Cameron, Texas; a member of Meadowbrook Drive Church of Christ and was a retired employee with the State of Georgia for 20 years as a Youth Development Counselor. Survivors are four daughters, Brenda (Harold) Thomas Lester, Cynthia Ellis, Augusta, Ga., Melody (Maurice) Thomas Woodward, Kennesaw, Ga.; Elaine (Steve) Johnson Li, Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Stanley Thomas, Larry Thomas, George (Gwendolyn) Payne, Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Pennie Johnson, Clarice Haltom, Eva Hollis, Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Guy Johnson, Bennet Johnson, Jr., Dallas, Texas; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
