Glady G. Jones (NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.)

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Glady G. Jones, 92, wife of the late Mr. L.D. Jones, entered into rest Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Heartland Hospice House. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Rowland Funeral Home Chapel. with Rev. Jerry T. Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park. Mrs. Jones was a native of Atlanta, Georgia, a former resident of Blackville and St. George, SC, having made North Augusta her home since 1964. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta where she taught the Hope Sunday School Class, sang in the choir and was a member of the Sheffield Fellowship. Survivors include a son, Charlie Jones (Elaine), of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Glady Chappell (Scott), of North Augusta; four grandchildren, John Jones, Karen Emery, Anna Jones and Eric Massey; seven great grandchildren, Jessica Moore, Dustin Emery, Ron Massey, Caleb Massey, Jarred Massey, Abigail Massey and Malachi Massey; two sisters-in-law, Louise Griffin, Spartanburg and Lexsy Jones, Blackville. Active pallbearers will be Jim Martin, Vinny Egnezzo, Steve McElmurray, Johnny Jones, Billy Jones Darrin Emery and Eddie Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sheffield Fellowship and the Hope Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 12:00 pm until the hour of the service.
