Arlene R. Amato (EVANS, Ga.)

EVANS, Ga. - Mrs. Arlene R. Amato, 66, entered into rest on January 20, 2009 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2009, 11:00 AM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Columbia Road Chapel with Rev. Rick Harmon officiating. Mrs. Amato graduated from GAR High School in Wilkes-Barre, PA in 1959. She attended Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Her hobbies include reading, crafts, cooking and her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed. The entire family would like to thank all our friends and neighbors for your prayers and support. A special "thank you" to Dr. Watts and the nursing staff at University Hospital 6 West and the Palliative Care Unit. Survivors include her husband, Anthony M. Amato; four daughters, Debbie (Rick) McMurtrey of Evans, Georgia, Nancy (Rick) Harmon of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Sandy (Troy) Fehring of Sterling, Oklahoma, Denise (Cleatus) Abbott of Evans, Georgia, and a son, Jacob Aaron Amato of Louisville, Kentucky; five granddaughters, Jori, Tonie, Porscha, Jenny and Emily; one grandson, Ricky; and two grand dogs, Kelsie and Neko.
