AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, January 17, 2009, at his residence, Mr. Ralph W. Hall, 85, husband of the late Louise Estelle Satcher Hall. Mr. Hall was a native of Abbeville, SC and resided most of his life in the Augusta area. He was a member of Curtis Baptist Church where he was a member of the Vaughn and Spivey Sunday School Class. Mr. Hall was active with the 39er's and a former member of the Exchange Club of Summerville Augusta. He retired from the Graniteville Company after 45 years as a Cotton Classer. Family members include his daughter: Debra Hall Howell and husband Dr. Charles Howell of Augusta, grandchildren: Charles Howell III and wife Heather of Orlando, FL, Benjamin Howell of Lakeland, GA, sisters-in-law: Daisy Hampton of Augusta, Connie Guhne of Greensboro, NC and Ann Hall of Pinewood, SC, best friend: a poodle named "Princess". Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at Curtis Baptist Church with Rev. Sherrell Dunn and Dr. Mark Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be, Ed Pounds, James Staulcup, George Hawkins, Stan Brassell, Tommy Reese and Bob Spivey. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Vaughan and Spivey Sunday School Class. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Curtis Baptist Church, 1326 Broad Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
