NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. J. Worth Gambill, 74, husband of Mrs. Jean Gambill, of Timberidge Drive, entered into rest Sunday, January 18, 2009. The funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later. Mr. Gambill was a native of North Wilkesboro, NC, having made North Augusta his home for the past nine years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Cokesbury Sunday School Class, an active leader in the Boy Scouts and a volunteer for the G.R.I.T.S Ministry. Additional survivors include two sons, Joseph W. Gambill, Jr. (Kathy), North Augusta and Brian K. Gambill (Tina), Bowling Green, VA; an honorary son, William Kercher (Mary), Mobile, AL; a sister, Sue Jennings (William) Bumpass, VA; nine grandchildren, Natalie Feaver, Joseph W. Gambill, III, Rainey K. Gambill, Laura E. Gambill, Timothy M. Howard, H. Price Gambill, Kenneth C. Howard, Brock Kercher and Graham Kercher.
