William H. Beasley (HARLEM, Ga.)

HARLEM, Ga. - Retired SFC William H. Beasley, 72, husband of the late Phyllis Beasley, entered into rest, Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Heartland Hospice in Augusta, GA. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2009, with Masonic Rites at the Beasley Family Cemetery, Bulloch County, Georgia with the Rev. William Tidwell officiating. Mr. Beasley was a native of Bulloch County, retired from the US Army and Civil Service. He was a member of the Nevils Baptist Church, VFW, American Legion and the Masonic Lodge No. 276 of Harlem. Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by his parents, William Herman Beasley and Kitty Mae Beasley of Statesboro, also his wife, Phyllis Beasley, sons, Jeff Beasley and Jaime Beasley, daughters, Beverly Wheeler and Jennifer Beasley and sister, Billie (Donald) Hagan. Survivors include his son, Tim Beasley, Harlem, two sisters, Margie (Barney) Williams, Statesboro, GA, Patsy (Ike) Metts, Portal, GA; grandchildren, Jessica Horsley, Heidi Beasley, Heath Beasley, Joey Wheeler, Dusty Beasley and Joshua Beasley; great-grandchildren, Ariel Beasley, Cali B. Carroll, Makayla B. Carroll, Hannah Beasley, Ethan Wheeler, Hailie Beasley and Hayes Beasley, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews in the Statesboro, Atlanta and Athens area.
