EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Minister Mary E. Mitchell Turner, of W.A. Reel Drive, entered into rest January 17, 2009 at Saluda Nursing & Rehab Center. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Minister Turner, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Edgefield. Survivors include four daughters, Dorothy Dunn, Edgefield, S.C., Martha L. Williams, Augusta, Ga., Mary (Charles) Brightharp, Trenton, S.C. and Elizabeth Wheeler, Florence, S.C.; four sons, Leroy (Linda) Turner, Sr., Willie (Janice) Turner, Trenton, S.C., Robert Lee (Gail) Turner, Jr., Ridge Spring, S.C., and Calvin (Angela) Turner, Sumter, S.C.; two sisters, Minister Annie Mae Butler and Sarah Hamilton, Edgefield, S.C.; two brothers, Rev. Samuel (Roberta) Mitchell, Jr., Baltimore, Md., and Rev. Luke (Laura) Mitchell, Aiken, S.C.; nine sisters- in-law; eight brothers-in-law; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
