AUGUSTA, Ga. - James Carbin, 63, passed away January 6, 2008 in University Hospital, Augusta, Ga. A former resident of Tuckerton, N.J., and he had lived in Augusta, Ga., during the last three years. He is survived by his wife, Lorelei Hemstead Carbin; his daughter, Christine Carbin Schroeder and her husband, Scott; his grandson, Riley Scott Schroeder of Alpharetta, Ga.; as well as his sister, Anne Chambers of Toms River, N.J.; and his brother, Frank Carbin of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; and nieces and nephews. He was born in Orange, N.J., the son of Frances and Patrick Carbin who predeceased him. He was a graduate of Essex County Vocational & Technical High School, Bloomfield, N.J. A celebration of his life will be held on January 24th at O'Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad Street, Bloomfield, N.J. Service to begin at 1PM, friends may begin calling at 12PM.
