HARLEM, Ga. - Mr. Glenn "Shelton" Radford, Jr., 66, husband of Mrs. Brenda Hopper Radford, died Friday, January 16, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00PM, Monday, January 19, 2009, at Silver Run Baptist Church with the Reverend Jerry Pitman officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Run Church Cemetery. His body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Mr. Radford was a native of Richmond County, served in the US Navy and a member of Silver Run Baptist Church. He was the owner of Shelton's Saw Shop in Harlem, Ga. He was a hard working man, who always took special care of his family. Shelton never met a stranger and always showed a kind heart. He enjoyed attending church, living in the country, gardening, spending quality time with his family and grandchildren and his special cat "Midnight." He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all. Survivors include his wife, Brenda H. Radford, Harlem; two sons, Richard "Glenn" Radford, Sr. and wife Marianne of Harlem and Darrell L. Radford, Harlem; two daughters, Ellen R. Davidson and husband Toby, Harlem and Angela R. Gurley and husband Mark of Harlem; sister, Faye R. Greene, Thomson; mother and father- in-law, Betty and Richard Hopper, Harlem; fifteen grandchildren, Austin Radford, Richard Radford, Brandon Radford, Dillion Radford, Elizabeth Radford, Hayden Radford, Bryce Radford, Addison Gurley, Cory Davidson, Justin Davidson, Heather Davidson, Nick McDaniels, Ashli McDaniels, Casi McDaniels and Colbi McDaniels. Pallbearers will be Nat Greene, Ricky Hopper, Jeff Seago, Brent Seago, Justin Davidson and Cory Davidson.
