Homemaker Augusta, Ga.- Mrs. Evelyn L. Mosley, 100, wife of the late Joe Henry Mosley, Sr., entered into rest Saturday, January 17, 2009. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Mosley was a native of Richmond County, Georgia and a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by sons and a grandson, Bobby Mosley and Joe Henry Mosley, Jr., and Jerry Quick. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Ted B. and Jenny Mosley of Martinez; her daughters, Mary Bates, Frances Dukes and Elizabeth Bentley all of Augusta; her brother, Pete Howell of Lorieta, FL; her sisters, Margaret Long of Baltimore, MD and Mildred Lane of Lake Placid, FL; and eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great- grandchildren and ten great-great- grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to granddaughters, Patricia Mobley and Paula Bradford and grandson, Bobby Bates, Darline Love Nesbitt and the staff of The Place at Deans Bridge . Active Pallbearers will be Bobby Bates, Teddy Mosley, Steve Bates, Joey Mosley, Lynn Bates and Gene Bates. Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church 2510 Richmond Hill Road, Augusta, Georgia 30906. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of the service.
