AUGUSTA, Ga. - Sgt. Michael Dean James, Sr., 59, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the home of his daughter in Hamlin, W.Va. Born in Augusta, Ga., he served 24 years as an employee of the Augusta City Police Dept. He was a wonderful son, brother, and loving father. He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, and spending time with his dog, Buster. Surviving are his mother, Arlene Bailey; four sisters, Sharon James, Gail Truman, Ramona Johnston, and Nancy Godbee; two children, Jennifer Mckay and Michael Dean James, Jr.; two grandchildren, Whitney and Nathanial Mckay. The family would also like to express special thanks to Steve Toomey and Joann McMillian for always being kind and thoughtful. Memorial services with be held at Calvary Temple Assembly of God at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2009.
