The following military announcements have been made:
- Air Force Airman Stephanie K. Griffith , a 2007 graduate of Augusta Technical College, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
- Army Reserve 2nd Lt. Lotte Frances McGowan , daughter of Don and Gina McGowan and stepdaughter of Anne McGowan, of Augusta, has graduated from Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Ga.
- Air Force Airman Tony P. Higgs , a 2006 graduate of Josey High School and son of Brenda Higgs, of Augusta, has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
- Air Force Airman 1st Class Shenita C. Little , a 2005 graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and daughter of Ken and Christina Lawson, of Augusta, has graduated from the Traffic Management Apprentice Course at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
