Another one for the good guys. I'm glad there are still some sane judges left.
A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit filed against narcotics investigators and the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
In an order signed Tuesday, U.S. District Court Judge J. Randal Hall granted summary judgment to Sheriff Ronnie Strength, Deputy Alonzo Bell and other unnamed officers, and former Deputy Cecil Ridley.
In a federal civil rights lawsuit filed in May 2007, Anthony Anderson alleged the officers kicked and beat him for no justifiable reason on May 2, 2005.
As Judge Hall noted repeatedly in his opinion, though Mr. Anderson described a savage beating, the medical records counter his claim.
Mr. Anderson was taken to a hospital after an encounter with the narcotics officers, but hospital records noted only a small cut on his head, Judge Hall wrote. The doctor did not find it necessary to perform any diagnostic tests or prescribe any medication, the judge wrote. Also, Mr. Anderson's booking photographs reveal no visible sign of injury, he wrote.
The officers denied Mr. Anderson's claims. He was chased, but the officers say they identified themselves when Mr. Anderson ran from a house where they were conducting an investigation.

Randy Hall has been a wonderful choice as judge. This case is just another day at the office for him.
Officials like Randy Hall will make ours a better place.
one day god gonna act on the narcotics officers nasty ways, but right now he's leting them get away with alot of things and it's a shame that they can't arrest people without beating up on them.
icanusethat, many that get arrested insist on being beat up.
You shouldn't run from the police. If you do you should get beat up.
Dat be rite! ican, les's all waits fo God to done do whats rite. If'n da brudaa do it it be coo, if'n de poelice done it it be wrong.
icanusethat. Why in your twisted views are any law abiding, law enforcement personnel always the bad guys and the drug dealers, thugs just misunderstood individuals who are wrongly accosted??? Could this be that you wish to always find fault with some one else in lieu of taking responsibilty for yourself and your actions just like these thugs, and bottom feeders of society.
Good deal!! Show the thugs that if you run from the law you may get roughed up a little and don't come crying to this judge.
yak1.... I bet yo momma work at Chik Fil A? It's always a white fool in the crowd on this site!!
Other than icanusethat, who else is going to defend the idiot who ran from the cops? I have an answer - The same people who defended and still defend the idiots throwing rocks and the gun toting fools over at that tax payer's housing project.
hissov... I have not read where anyone defended the defendant. You are just being [filtered word]hole just like yak1. I thought icanusethat was being little sarcastic.
The wicked flee {even} when no man chaseth! And too, Yak1 I sho' nuff ain't knowed you wuz bi-lingle. You musta studied up der at Paine wit "icanusethat." I guess "icanusethat" must'a missed the logic classes. Get-it? Hee-haw!
hossiv... What you need to be worried about is all the subsidy being paid to white farmers and food is still going up!! If I could quit my job an become a white farmer getting paid thousands in federal subsidy despite making millions selling the grains back to the government to sell to other countries. That is a dream job to milk the federal government just like those negros in the projects, right?
Cparker, thanks for those kind words. I dont know icanusethat and you probably dont either, so all I can do is take what is written and respond to it. BTW, he or she must a real jokester because everyone of his or her comments are like that. Also, you must have been at the candlelight vigil for young Mr. Elmore weren't you? Unless you have been living under a rock for last month, you'd know that there several people on here were blasting the Richmond County police department for their actions in the Elmore situation. So, I'm not sure why I'm an A-hole for stating the obvious. Thank you again, Cparker. You are too kind!
Oh I see where your coming from Cparker. Because you brought up race, not me, let me respond - People who do need gov't assistance through no fault of their own, I have absolutely no problem helping them out with food, clothing, or $. However, I'm sorry if I dont appreciate people living off the gov't hanging out the OK Pantry every day drinking (I dont what it could be) out of a paper bag in the middle of a work week. How about the young mothers playing the lottery all day long with there gov't check while their kids run wild through store? If you want I can give several other examples if needed. That goes for ALL races CParker! Trust me there are plenty of bad people milking the Gov't in many different ways. You pulled that race card pretty quick didnt ya!
By the way Cparker - I'm sure you have done your research on the "white farmer" discussion, so I have to ask - In all of your studies on farming in the US, there wasnt a single "black farmer" huh? Not a one? Or, were the black farmers the only honest ones?
Welfare, farm subsidies and Affirmative Action are dinosaurs and have no place in 21st century America.
Maybe some of you didn't understand the Judge's ruling. There was no evidence that he was beaten by the officers. It was fabricated.
Americasfirst: They used NERF nightsticks?
Just another person who is trying to get something for nothing... My hats off to the Federal Judge...Obey the law and you won't have issues like that...I guess the Cherry Tree Crossing incident can be filed below this one.
Great Job RCSD!
pof...it was sarcasm you twit.
I have not seen where several people on here posted anything in favor of Elmore. One or two people maybe but the majority LOUDLY DENOUNCED HIS, SO STOP SPREADING YOUR B.S.
Great Job Guys. When you do your job and do it right, you are doing to get accussed and blamed for everything. I'm glad to know that the RCSO doesn't allow that to stop them from doing their jobs. Keep Up The Good Work.
Aaah Hypo go back and look pal. There were SEVERAL people who posted ridiculous statements in regard to the actions of the cherry tree crossing fiasco, instead of just simply saying that guy was a thug criminal, period. SO NICE TRY FRIEND.
hossiv... Yak1's 7:57am post started the racist comments and pofwe followed it up. Its strange how offended white folks get over me making the same statements as many make everyday on this site about blacks. Are you suggesting white farmers that recieve farm subsidies are any different than blacks recieving housing subsidy?
Once again Cparker, you responded to me with the "black" and "white" thing. I guess one cant talk about a situation that happens have blacks and white involved in it without being taken as a racist. Obviously you didnt call me a racist, but by your posts you think I am bashing Blacks. Let me set you straight because you obviously didnt READ my post. I said that my opinions go for ALL RACES. Let me repeat myself: ALL RACES! What part of ALL RACES did you not get? Its amazing how quick you and others can obviously read someone's mind. You do not know me from ADAM, so read the words as they are written and go with that. BTW, there are plenty of WHITES living in these housing subsidies you speak of. And yes, your right some of them are very very lazy. Mmmmk?
The ones you named need to put others down in order to feel good about themselves. When you listen or read where some attempt to poke fun at other people grammar or speech, its like the pot calling the kettle black.
I'm sorry if that was for me it made zero sense, Hypo. Come again...
