NEW ELLENTON, S.C. - Entered into rest Thursday, morning, January 1st, 2009, at her home, Mrs. Dorothy Dye Snider, 78, of New Ellenton, SC, wife of the late John L. Snider and daughter of the late Narvis and Georgia Mae Neal Dye. Born in Warren County, GA, she had been an area resident for the last fifty-five years. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and retired from Owens-Corning as a Quality Control Inspector after over twenty-five years of service. Prior to her health declining, she enjoyed playing softball, bowling, quilting and gardening. A former member of the New Ellenton Gardening Club, she had been awarded yard of the month on several occasions. Family members include her children, Barry Snider, (Cindy B.) Aiken, SC and Dorothy Faye Snider, New Ellenton, SC; siblings, Ann Johnson and Linda Toulson, both of Warretnon, GA, the late Jane Harper and one brother who died in infancy, grandchildren, Nathan Key, Natalie Hardin, Grayson Barry Snider, Erica B. Lowe, Cameron C. Snider and Clayton C. Snider, and great-grandchildren, Michael Key, Sarah Key, Tyler Hardin, and Blake Snider. At her request, Dorothy will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 2 o'clock at Millcreek Baptist Church, Mitchell, GA, with Rev.
