WILLISTON, S.C. - Funeral services for Miriam Elizabeth Kitchings Cooley, 64, of Williston, will be held 2 pm, Friday, January 9, 2009 at Elko Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the Williston Cemetery. Miriam died Tuesday January 6, 2008 at her home. Born in White Pond, SC, she was a daughter of Frances Dicks Kitchings Sessions and the late Olin Ginyard Kitchings. She retired in February of 1997 as a Lab Analyst for Westinghouse at the Savannah River Plant and was a member of Elko Baptist Church. Survivors include her mother, Frances and George Q. Sessions; husband, Guy Edwin Cooley, Sr.; daughter, Elizabeth Marie Cooley and Charles Kelly Smoak of Fort Mill, SC; son, Guy Edwin Cooley, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; sister, Linda and William Johnson; brothers, Olin Gene Kitchings, Wallace and Sheryl Kitchings; step-sister, Kathy and Harry Baird; step-brothers, George and Deena Sessions, Paul Sessions; grandchildren, Kathryn Claire, Caroline Olivia, William Christopher and Margaret Mae Smoak; nieces, nephews and dearest friends, Patrick and Pem Richardson.
