W. Ellis Carroll (NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.)

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Funeral services for Mr. William Ellis "Papee" Carroll, Sr., 91, of Thompson Avenue, North Augusta, SC, who entered into rest January 5, 2009, will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the Central Church of Christ. Mr. Scott Patterson officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park. Mr. Carroll was a native of Florence, Alabama, having made North Augusta his home for the past 58 years. He was a member of Central Church of Christ and retired from the Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local #150. Mr. Carroll was the husband of the late Mrs. Mamie L. Carroll and the late Mrs. Florence R. Carroll. Survivors include his daughter, Bobbie Wilson, Belvedere; a son and daughter-in-law, William & June Carroll, Jr., Lithonia, GA; eight grandchildren, Wayne Wilson, David Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Julie Davis, Celia Balis, Patti Jackson, Markie Carroll and Billy Carroll; seventeen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 until 8. The family will be at the residence of Mrs. Bobbie Wilson, 244 Lehigh Avenue, Belvedere, SC.
