AUGUSTA, Ga. - James E. 'Bubby' Brown, entered into rest Saturday morning, January 3, 2009 at Medical College of Georgia Hospital. He was 47 years old. Mr. Brown spent all of his life in New York, except six months, where he resided in Augusta. His greatest desire was to be a Firefighter and he joined the Roosevelt Fire Department, Roosevelt, N.Y., on June 29, 1992. He was a decorated firefighter, a member of the Alpha Hook and Ladder Co. # 1-735, one of the fifth responders to the 911 rescue where he stayed four days to save his fallen brothers and continued to return as part of the rescue mission.
