Harold Smith (MODOC, S.C.)

MODOC, S.C. - Mr. Harold Smith, 65, of Flat Rock Rd., died Sunday January 4 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 6 at 6 p.m. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was a native of Edgefield and was the son of the late John A. and Nellia Doolittle Smith and retired tuck driver for several logging companies. Survivors include one son, Randy (Melanie) Smith, Edgefield; one daughter, Audra (Jeff) Bedenbaugh, Modoc; six grandchildren, Kevin, Kyle, Jacob, Olivia, Matthew, Jared; six sisters, Lena Turner, Myrtle Beach, Edna Clark, Ninety Six, Joyce Insley, Langley, Ruth Galloway of Adams Run, Workman Riley, Marion Morrow both of Edgefield; and a loving companion, Geraldine (Jello) Haynes. The family is at the home of his daughter on Flat Rock Rd. and will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
