James O'Dell Pearson (MCCORMICK, S.C.)

MCCORMICK, S.C. - Mr. James O'Dell Pearson, 81, of Callison Hwy, husband of Grace Wilson Pearson, died Monday, January 5, 2009 at Hospice House in Greenwood. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Rehoboth Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites. Mr. Pearson was a native of McCormick, S.C. and a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church. He retired from Milliken Textile after 44 years of service. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and was a member of the Caldwell Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Ann P. Proett, Orangeburg; three sons, Jeff Pearson, Troy, Jimmy Pearson, Mt. Pleasant, and Bill Pearson, Yorktown, Va.; one sister, Vivian P. Smith, Raleigh, N.C.; one brother, Howell Pearson, Charlotte, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander St., Greenwood, S.C. 29646.
