SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Jewell Bridges, age 85, of 1867 New Road in Sandersville died Sunday January 4 at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday January 7 in the Sisters Baptist Church in Sandersville with burial in the Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sandersville. Survivors are his wife, Louise Smith Bridges of Sandersville, his children, Connie Bridges (Wayne) Tapley of Sandersville, Larry (Laverne) Bridges of Sandersville, John (Teresa) Bridges of Sandersville and Gary "Hoss" (Patty) Bridges of Tennille, seven grandchildren, Angie Yarbrough, Michae Bridges, William Tapley, Alicia Bridges, Danielle Bridges Cowart, Ashley B. Bridges and Leigh Anna Reynolds, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
