Fay Turner Gay (MILLEN, Ga.)

MILLEN, Ga. - Mrs. Fay Turner Gay, age 83, of Millen, died Saturday, January 3, 2009. She was born in Jenkins County, a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and she was a faithful member of the Elam Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 55 years Emory S. Gay, Jr. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Elam Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Survivors include her three daughters, Debbie G. (Louis) Parker and Becky G. (Wyndell) Bell both of Millen and Shelly G. (Ed) Magruder of Athens; a son, Emory Speer Sonny (Janice) Gay, III of Athens; two sisters, Bobbie T. Lynch and Joyce T. (Ralph) Andrews of Statesboro; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers will be Karlson Bell, Norman Parker, Whitney Bell, Kevan Bell, Speer Gay and Ed Magruder.
