Hopes Sylvia writes her book

When I first heard Sylvia Cooper was soon to retire, I became depressed -- very depressed.

After two or three more weeks of fretting I became convinced that both Augusta and The Chronicle were doomed to destruction. But Sylvia, like the great reporter she is, got "Sunday Ink" off and running.

The Chronicle won't be the same without Sylvia, but it won't destruct either. I wish Sylvia a long and happy retirement and I hope she will write the book she has in her head.
