Jimmie Dandy (RIDGE SPRING, S.C.)

RIDGE SPRING, S.C. - Mr. Jimmie Dandy, 62, of 3557 Columbia Highway N., Ridge Spring, S.C., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. Dandy was a native of Kinards (Laurens County), S.C. and was a member of the Vaughnville Baptist Church, Chappells, S.C. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from the Miller's Funeral Home, 136 Kershaw St. SE, at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Ray A. Pilgrim officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens, Edgefield Highway. Mr. Dandy is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Beatrice Young Dandy of the home; one brother, Robert (Jean) Leake, Jamaica, N.Y.; six sisters, Corine Payne, Linda Anderson, Wyonne Evans, and Carrie Golden, all of Clinton, S.C., Mattie Baker and Annie Baker, both of Jamaica, N.Y.; one special son, Demille Sims; two brothers-in-law, Richard (Margaret) Young and David (Linda) Young; three sisters-in-law, Delores Stewart, Grace Overton, and Doris (Rev. Henry) Merriweather; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, January 5, 2009 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. or at the residence.
