Tutoring available
Pupils from grades two through 12 can be tutored at Mount Vernon Baptist Church this semester.
The spring session of the Southside Community Outreach Tutorial Program starts Jan. 27 and will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the church, 1930 Olive Road.
Teachers will offer assistance in language, mathematics, science and social studies. A computer lab is also available.
The sessions are free, but proof of income is required at registration, which will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and Jan. 13 and 15.

Anniversary service
Bible Fellowship Church will celebrate its seventh anniversary with a service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Burke County Sheriff Greg Coursey, of Waynesboro, will speak. He is a member of the board of directors of the Michael Guido Evangelistic Association from Metter, Ga.
The Byrd Family will provide music.

Dancing offered
Adult beginner ballroom dance classes will be offered at St. Luke United Methodist Church starting Thursday.
Advance registration is required for the weekly sessions, held at 7 p.m. Thursdays at the church, 309 Crawford Ave.
The six-to eight-week classes will be taught on the East Coast swing, cha-cha, rumba, tango and fox trot.
A partner is required.
