AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Sallie Carter, 79, of 439 Fairfield St., entered into rest January 1, 2009 at her residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced. Mrs. Carter was a member of Ashley Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Roosevelt (Bernice) Carter, Allendale, S.C., Pernell Carter, Aiken, and William (Susanna) Creech of Albany, N.Y.; two brothers, Willie James (Leila) Creech, Aiken and Donice (Queen) Creech, Boston, Mass.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
