Rose Ann Davis (HEPHZIBAH, Ga.)

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mrs. Rose Ann Davis entered into rest on Friday, December 26, 2008, Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, Va. Rose Ann was born in Columbia County to the late Mrs. Daisy Nelson Tanksley and Mr. Collace Davis, Sr. She was united in marriage to the late Mr. Clinton Leon Davis. Rose Ann was retired from the Board of Education after serving as a dietitian for over 30 years. She served faithfully as a member of Johnson Grove Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her fond loving memories: sons, Larry (Ella) Evans, Hephzibah, GA., Lawrence (Jackie) Davis, Pickenzington, OH., Tyrone Davis, Augusta, GA.; daughter, Lawanda (Danny) Smith, Virginia Beach, VA.; six grandchildren; one great-grand child and a host of other relatives and loving friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Friday, January 2, 2009, at First Ebenezer Baptist Church, Hephzibah, GA., with Pastor Donald Williams, officiating. Interment will be in Johnson Grove Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends today (Thursday) from 4 to 6 pm, at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home, 3618 Peach Orchard Road. (706) 790-8858.
