The last of three young men accused of shooting at a high school pupil's home after an argument admitted his guilt Wednesday.

Military explosive is found at Aiken home
A military explosive was found near an Aiken home Wednesday afternoon, according to authorities.
Lt. David Turno of Aiken Public Safety said a team from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was en route to Aiken Wednesday night to dispose of the explosive, which was found in an outbuilding on Sand Fox Place, near Banks Mill Road, about 4:50 p.m. by a woman who lives nearby.
"It's probably 10 to 20 years old, looking at it," Lt. Turno said of the explosive.
Residents within about 300 yards of where it was found were evacuated, he said.
Pupil is nominated for Air Force Academy
Shawn Patrick Leonard, of Hephzibah, has been nominated by U.S. Rep. John Barrow to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy.
He is one of 10 military academy nominations from the 12th Congressional District that Mr. Barrow announced Wednesday, but the only local high school student.
The four military academies require a congressional nomination as part of the application process, but the service academies decide who is admitted.
To be considered, applicants must live within the 12th Congressional District and meet admissions requirements.
In addition, applicants submitted an application and essay and underwent an interview process.
The nominees were chosen based on academics, leadership, moral character and commitment to attending a service academy.
Collier, Lewis and White fired "at" the house? They didn't hit it? If they did, the bullets went through some walls. That's only attempted aggravated assault? The charge wasn't much of a deterrent.
Go Gamecocks! Happy New Year to you pt!
Investigation leads to 12 arrests in drug bust ...where are the names of these criminals?
Probation, short prison sentence, paltry fine, community service wow it doesn't get much better than that does it folks...These criminals could have killed someone for heaven's sake but oh well maybe they have learned their lesson...
What was the type of military explosive found in Aiken. I heard on the news last night it was a stick of dynamite, which I thought was harmless without a detonator??
Shoot at someone (or a house) and get probation???? Wow! What is the world coming to?
And they wonder why people are afraid to report crimes.
Thankfully, some people still do report them. I appreciate the efforts of law enforcement to do just that, enforce the laws. I just wish the courts could be more effective.
Amen to That Baroness!!!!!!!
