WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Mr. Robert "Bob" L. Quick, age 77, entered into rest at his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Quick was the beloved husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Lee Quick and was a native of Burke County, the son of the late Josie and George Bryant Quick. Mr. Quick will be remembered for his 38 year association with Wayne's Service Station in Waynesboro. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Quick will be conducted on Saturday, December 27, 2008, 2:00 PM, from Rosemont Heights Baptist Church, 710 Stone Avenue, Waynesboro, GA with Rev. Keith Alderman officiating. Mr. Quick will lie in state for one hour prior to the hour of service. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens. Surviving as pallbearers will be Marvin Mobley, Chuck Thomas, Craig Roll, Rex Herrington, Michael Murphy and Kenneth Moseley. Surviving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Stephens Sunday School Class of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Quick is survived not only by his wife, Liz, but also four daughters, Lea Sapp (Dennis), Waynesboro, GA, Terry Roll (Craig), Martinez, GA, Sonia Buorgoin, Chattanooga, TN, Gloria Moore, Martinez, GA; his sons, Robert F. Quick, Waynesboro and Ray Martin (Debbie), Hephzibah; six brothers, Harry Quick, Bill Quick, David Quick, Jimmy Quick, Clinton Hickman and Mack Hickman; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2008, from 6-8 PM, at Robertson's Heritage Chapel, 220 East Sixth Street, Waynesboro, GA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please honor Mr. Quick with a memorial contribution to The Vision, Rosemont Heights Baptist Church, 710 Stone Avenue, Waynesboro, GA 30830.
