'Tsubasa'

WHERE: YouTube

RATING: TV-13 for some action violence and scary images

MY THOUGHTS: This is a classic anime love adventure. Syaoran, the main character, is on a search for his love's memories, which have taken the form of feathers and scattered across hundreds of dimensions.

In order to jump across the dimensions, he had to pay the price of his love's memory of him, meaning that even if he finds the memories she might never remember her feelings for him. Each world they travel to is more dangerous, because a hidden enemy tries to retrieve the precious feathers for the astounding powers they possess.

Grade: A-, because the only way you can watch it is with English subtitles because the audio is in Japanese.

'The Tales of Beedle the Bard'

AUTHOR: J.K. Rowling

PUBLISHED: Dec. 4

MY THOUGHTS: The magic and wonder of Harry Potter's world continues in J.K. Rowling's collection of wizard fairy tales with commentary by Albus Dumbledore. They give the reader more insight into the wizarding community.

Easy to read, The Tales of Beedle the Bard could satisfy the appetite of avid Potter fans. The best part is that proceeds will benefit the Children's High Level Group charity.

Grade: B

See the lights

WHAT: Looking for something Christmassy to do during your winter break? Stop at Christmas at Hopelands

WHERE: 1400 Whiskey Road, Aiken near downtown Aiken

WHAT TO EXPECT: Every year, the city of Aiken decorates the gardens with Christmas lights. It is a wonderful display and local bands and choirs preform on different nights. They also offer the best part, hot chocolate and cookies.

HOURS: 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today, Friday and Saturday
