LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Christine (Hadden) Samples Sikkema, age 87, died Sunday evening, December 21, 2008 in the Glendale Nursing Home in Wadley. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in the Louisville City Cemetery with Rev. Larry L. Montgomery officiating. Mrs. Sikkema was a native of Jefferson County, a daughter of the late Cy W. Hadden and Rosa Ford Hadden. She retired after many years as a bank teller and travel agent and was a member of Duharts Baptist Church. Mrs. Sikkema was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Robert M. Samples and Al Sikkema. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob W. and Cynthia Samples of Augusta and Billy F. and Loretta Samples of Louisville; four grandchildren and their spouses, Donna and Stephen Lyons of Savannah, Bob and Donna Samples of Augusta, Robert and Angela Samples of Wrens, and Cyrus Samples of Forsyth; one sister, Katherine Samples of Wrens; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will be at the residence, 1064 Robert Samples Lane, Louisville and will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
