AIKEN, S.C. - Dearest Family and Loyal Friends, I Have Said Farewell... Mr. Henry Ashley, Jr., 63, affectionately called, 'Tootaboot', of 1297 Chimebell Church Rd., Aiken, SC, quietly departed this life on Sunday, December 14, 2008, at the Mattie C. Hall Nursing Care Facility, Aiken, SC. The Funeral Service In Honorable Remembrance will be held at 3PM, Saturday, December 20, 2008, at the Park Missionary Baptist Church, Beech Island, SC, with Rev. Alex Williams, Officiating. The interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Ashley, was a native of Barnwell Cty., SC, a member of the Park Baptist Church and was a former Automotive Transmission Technician. He leaves to cherish a host of dedicated survivors: five sons, Kerry Boyd (Tracye), Augusta, Ga., Emerson Ashley (Paula), Evans, Ga., Keith Ashley, Henry Ashley 111 (Cathy) all of Aiken, SC and Shawn Ashley, Woodbridge, Va.; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three sisters, Christine Lockhart (David) and Earnestine Bryant both of Aiken, SC and Louise Gadson (Luther), Barnwell, SC; One aunt, Louarrie Cain, a special friend, Maxine Nickerson and a host of other very saddened extended relatives and grieving friends in the local communities that will honor his memory... The family will be receiving friends at the residence. The viewing will be held today from 5 until 8PM at the funeral home and Saturday from 2PM until the hour of service at the church.
