KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Jerome 'Jerry' L. Hundley, 50, of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away peacefully December 11, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. Jerry was born June 2, 1958 to Rita (Mortell) and the late James L. Hundley Sr. He was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, and the Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Jerry is survived by his wife Cathy; two sons, Jerome Hundley, Jr. and Paul J. Burkhardt-Hundley; 7 grandchildren, Kendale Hall, Paul J. Burkhardt, Mikayla Hundley (all of Georgia), Anthony Burkhardt- Hundley, Audeya Burkhardt-Hundley, Kailynn Burkhardt-Hundley, and Peighton Burkhardt-Hundley (all of Knoxville); Jerry's mother, Rita Hundley; 2 brothers, James Hundley Jr., of Springfield, Ma. and Joseph Hundley (Cynthia Hundley) of Somers, Ct.; and 1 sister, Pamela Hundley (Joel Leavitt) of Agawam, Ma.; best friend & "Brother," Michael Vazqueztell (Kathy). Jerry was predeceased by his father, James L. Hundley, Sr. (1995); his daughter, Jennifer Leslie Ann Hundley. The funeral service will be held at Highland Memorial Funeral Home on Kingston Pike at 11:00 AM on December 20, 2008. Monsignor Xavier Mankel, Celebrant.
