- To raise money for burn victims, the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation has recycling sites for aluminum cans at the Kmart Shopping Center in North Augusta, the Belvedere Fire Department on U.S. Highway 25, Langley Fire Department on South Carolina Highway 421, and Aiken Department of Public Safety Stations No. 2 on Silver Bluff Road and No. 3 on U.S. Highway 78.

- CMC North Augusta, 1119 Atomic Road, (803) 279-0161, takes automobiles and trucks.

- Augusta-North Augusta Regional Materials Recovery Facility, 61 Clay Pit Road, North Augusta, (803) 441-4245 or (803) 441-4331; 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, takes cardboard, newspapers, magazines, white office paper, plastic bottles and milk jugs, and steel and aluminum containers.
