- Her debut single, I've Cried the Blue Right Out of My Eyes, was written by her older sister, Loretta Lynn.

LOSING DENNIS YOST: One of the classic voices of classic rock was stilled Sunday with the death of 65-year-old Dennis Yost, lead vocalist of the Classics IV.

Mr. Yost is heard on Traces of Love, Stormy, Every Day With You Girl (Is Sweeter Than the Day Before), Change of Heart and Spooky .

Spooky and Traces of Love were written by Classics IV members J.R. Cobb and Buddy Buie, who were later to form the nucleus of the Atlanta Rhythm Section.

Mr. Yost and the Classics IV were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 1993.

During the mid-1970s, Mr. Yost and his band were managed out of Augusta by Johnny Hensley, now a local Realtor. Mr. Yost frequently performed in Augusta, including opening for The Raspberries at Bell Auditorium in December 1972 and appearing at Leonard's Lounge in 1975, Castaway Supper Club in 1977, Sundowner Lounge in 1978 and Kokomo's in 1992.

Fans can send condolences to his widow at: Linda Yost, 4999 Mercedes Drive No. 1, Liberty Township, OH 45011.

COUNTRY POWER: Faith Hill's Joy to the World and Elvis Presley's Christmas Duets are among the Top 40 listings of the Dec. 13 Billboard magazine chart of all kinds of music albums.

Other country albums in the Top 40 all albums chart are Taylor Swift's Fearless at No. 2 (her self-titled debut CD is at No. 29); Sugarland's Love on the Inside , No. 17; Rascal Flatts' Greatest Hits Volume I , No. 30; and Trace Adkins' X: Ten , No. 32.
