GROVETOWN, Ga. - Mrs. Venice Marie Williams, 55, wife of Michael J. Williams, entered into rest Monday, December 8, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 11, 2008, in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel with the Reverend Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Williams was born in Columbia County and was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. Additional survivors include one daughter, Katrina Vanwinkle, Augusta; four brothers, Roy Newman, Jr. (Joy), Leah, Timothy Newman (Laura), Grovetown, Gene Newman (Cookie), Harlem Rex Newman (Karen), Grovetown; one sister Sandra Coleman (Arthur), Charlotte, NC; and two grandchildren Amber Vanwinkle and Michael Vanwinkle. Pallbearers will be Matthew Newman, Jordan Newman, Derek Newman, Jimmy Phillips, Frank Brinson and Mike Cannington. Mrs. Williams will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service.
