HAYES, Va. - William Ralph Thomason, age 81, died December 7, 2008 at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. William was a native of Georgia and owner of Thomason Electrical, Monroe, Ga., where he resided until last year when he and his wife moved to Virginia to be near their daughter. He loved to fish, hunt, and be outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature. William was devoted to his family and his cat 'Scooter.' He is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Ann Thomason; two daughters, Alisha K. Richardson and husband Stephen, Linda Lee; three sons, Derrell Monroe Thomason, Michael Bridges, Julian Thomason; two sisters, Grace Carr, Christine Griffits; and seven grandchildren. All services will be private. In William's memory, contributions may be given to the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
