EVANS, Ga. - Cuby L. Holton Herndon, wife of the late Earl Herndon and Thomas Dudley, entered into rest Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Harvey Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Herndon was a native of Emanuel County, Georgia and the daughter of the late Romanus and Cuma Wilkes Holton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She served the organization as treasurer for many years. Survivors include: her daughter and son in law, Rhonda and Gerald Boyd of Evans; her grandchildren, Aaron and Brian Boyd of Evans; her sister, Cebral Thigpen of Swainsboro, Ga.; six nieces; and several great-nieces and nephews. Active Pallbearers will be Al Davis IV, Brandon Davis, Bill Maxwell, Harold Huffman, Russ McBride, and Leo Bass. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
