An Augusta woman enduring many trials seeks a better Christmas for her children.
"I lost my job in September, and in October my husband was diagnosed with stomach cancer," she writes. "We have no income, and it's hard to even keep the utilities on.
"My children won't have a Christmas like other families. I want them to have something. We've all been through so much."
The Augusta Chronicle 's Empty Stocking Fund has helped people for 78 years. Last year, the charity raised a record-breaking $123,000.
