Bush tying our hands on way out

  • Follow Letters

President Bush has essentially tied the hands of new President to be Obama by negotiating a security agreement with Iraq that allows us to spend 120 billions plus a year in Iraq for three years and keeping our soldiers there for three more years. This while they accumulate 100 billion from their oil a year.

This is a person who has prostituted this country to his own wishes.

Robert, it appears that you may be correct; however, I am in hopes that our Congress can somehow nullify this pact before the cement sets too solid. On the other hand, noting that Obama has already reneged on his promise to remove our troops from Iraq in just 16 months, it would also appear that our president-elect might find this development to his advantage. I'm not too hopeful on either possibility. GGpap.

If I'm not mistaken, there is nothing in the agreement that forces us to stay. We can leave early.

Robert, what a good Dem you are. Ignorant and proud of it. Luckily, Obama is much smarter than his base. He just commented that he would stay for at least 16 more months and longer if he felt like it. Obviously, being informed of reality has changed his point of view for the better. (He'll change his story when he needs your vote again. Stand by, your party will tell you when and how to vote)

Trouble1

impressive, the man has not even gotten into office yet, and the dems are already finding a way to blame his failures on bush.....guess they dont have alot of confidence in his success either..............

factchecker

Trouble - Does that surprise you that they are already blaming Bush? Once the dems write the next set of history books Bush will be responsible for everything wrong from today's economy to Kennedy's assasination to WWII to the Civil War to Roman rule including Christ's crucifixion and all the way to original sin in the Garden of Eden. And maybe any imagined flaws of God's during creation.

Trouble1

fact, i am not surprised, but the dems keep telling us what a wonderful president he is gonna be, if he is gonna be so great, why are they already making excuses for his failures?

factchecker

Trouble - Democrats have almost always practiced deflection instead of responsibility.

shamrock

Robert, did you hear Obama object when this was announced? Of course you didn't. He is in full agreement. You must be one of those poor, misguided voters who actually believed change was on the horizon.

Trouble1

it is just funny that repuilcans are willing to give him a chance to succede, and democrats are planning for his failure, seems all the sudden we have more confidence in him than they do......that is a scary thought............

factchecker

That's because no matter what, we want this country to succeed no matter who is running it. Dems only want it to succeed if they can take credit.

RetiredArmy - what country did you say you retired from the Army of? Which communist or socialist state?

Bizarro

DEM-Delusional Egomaniacal Maniac. Man that is Cain by definition. Too funny. Both political parties are just ridiculous as both promise one thing to get in office and then once in do the polar opposite. Clinton, Bush, now Obama.

Trouble1

retired......not greedy and not old, just believe that i should have to support myself and my kids, not force someone else to do it for me, that is called pride, you should try it.......btw, thank you for your service to our country

I wonder if there will be any stipulations for this money , like the ones being considered for the big-three? Nothing the CONservativeS do surprises me. I just hope Jan comes and this idiot is removed as fast as possible. I hear the auto parts stores are doing a booming business with sticker removal spray. But now we have these little "W" stickers laying all over the place.

factchecker

Blaming the Big 3 bailout on Bush? Pelosi is the one who started this one.

Trouble1

diss, let me know when it occurs to you that the dems are in charge of the house and senate.......it cant go through without support from both sides, it is not the conservatives you should be complaining about, it is congress in general, no matter which party they are in.

factchecker

See Trouble - disss proves that they don't want to claim it unless they can take credit for the win.

i cant wait to get my new sticker on my car-- it has that little calvin dude pissing on osama -- i mean obama!

I reached voting age in time to vote for JFK...so I have been around for a while.. back then I didn't vote for JFK. He would have had to "pull rabbits out of a hat"for me to vote for him a second time...if he had he had a chance to run. I know, don't speak ill of the dead...so I will go no further.
I don't recall a President as bad as Saint Geroge { AKA George Bush} At least Jimmy Carter didn't leave the country in ruins as Saint George is about to do......

Tujeez

MtnMan, Keep checking your trot-line......Deliverance is coming. The Dems are going to work on that constipation problem you have............Then the fop will flow freely once again.......

Gas prices are coming down. The Obama planning is working even before it goes into effect. HELLO! HELLO!!!!!!

Trouble1

jack, the gas prices started comming down before the election, but i keep forgetting the dem way.......blame bush for everything bad, and credit obama with anything good.........

factchecker

Trouble - Again I'm gonna say I told ya that's what they do.

bcs2k

factchecker; You said we blame Bush on many things including the "original sin in the Garden of Eden". Well there was forbidden fruit (sin) involved...and it came from a Bush. lol

mable8

Robert: Bush is doing no such thing...Obama, himself, approves the negotiations. What did you think the PE and P spoke about (and continue to speak privately during the transition) at their meeting? You are a fool to write such nonsense. Just because you don't like what the media reported doesn't mean you should come unglued!

Trouble1

yea fact, i know, but it gets old fast
