Last week David Thomas wrote a letter, and to date no one has answered him so I guess I'll try.
Mr. Thomas intimates that he, being one of the "educated" Obama supporters, feels that those who opposed Mr. Obama were not too bright.ÂI opposed Mr. Obama because of his refusal to divorce himself from some of his past associates.
When I look at some of those with whom he associatedÂin the past, I have problems.ÂPlease tell me where I am wrong when I question the likes of Jeremiah Wright; William Ayers and his wife; Tony Rezko; Rashid Khalidi; Frank Marshall Davis; Marilyn Katz; Kenny Gamble; and ACORN.
Mr. Thomas stated, "President-elect Obama doesn't support the murder of babies up to nine months ..." In an interview reported by Steven Ertelt of lifenews.com, you can read, "In a Sunday interview, pro-abortion presidential candidate Barack Obama defended his opposition to a ban on partial-birth abortions.ÂThough he wasn't in Congress at the time it voted on the ban, he said he would have supported it had it contained a health exception."
Mr. Thomas said, "One of the Ten Commandments says thou shall not kill.ÂAbortion and the death penalty are all the same."ÂThe death penalty is given to those whom a jury has found guilty of some offense worthy of that penalty.ÂPlease, Mr Thomas, explain to me what crime the infants who are murdered during a partial-birth abortion did to warrant their death penalty.
Because of my belief in the Bible,ÂIÂpray for Barack Obama and when he becomes the "president of all," as he stated, I will continue to pray for him.
I would ask Mr. Thomas if his researching has included reading Barack Obama's book, The Audacity of Hope, or James Cone's book titled, Black Theology-Black Power .ÂMine has.
