BARNWELL, S.C. - William Donald Cheek, 63, passed away on December 2, 2008 at his home. William was born on July 1, 1945 in Barnwell S.C. He was the son of the late Lacy Leonard and Maggie Jones Cheek. He was a retired dispatcher and driver for Tri State Motors. He served in the S.C. National Guard for six years and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery (Airport) with the Rev. Posey Belcher officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Ashley Cheek of Barnwell; daughter, Vickie Taylor of Barnwell; son, Thomas H. (Zack) Taylor of Barnwell; sister, Lillie Ellen Hutto of Pickens; brothers, Robert Leonard Cheek, Noah (Linda) Cheek, Vernon (Mollie) Cheek, and John (Mary Ellen) Cheek of Barnwell.
