MARTINEZ, Ga. - The world became a bit dimmer on November 30, 2008 due to the passing of Mollie Davis Fuller of Martinez, Georgia, after a valiantly fought battle with cancer. To all who knew Ms. Mollie or just encountered her, their lives were made so much brighter. Mollie was known for her loving touches, whether her famous chocolate cake, down home cooking or random acts of kindness. Through her work at Travelers Insurance for 30 years, her participation in the Philadelphia Methodist quilting group, her neighborhood involvement and so many other ways, she was always showing and sharing her love for people. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Sheri Fuller Rhoe Vickery of Saratoga Springs, NY; Carol Ann Fuller Gilkerson of Indianapolis, IN; her two grandsons, David Rhoe, Jr. of Saratoga Springs, NY and Justin Gilkerson of Indianapolis, IN; and her sisters, Jean Crawford of Haughton, LA; Carolyn Gibbons of Rogersville, TN; and Martha Kay Kite of Rogersville, TN. Mollie also leaves behind many close friends, neighbors and work associates, all of whom have left a lasting impression on her life. Just a few of the many who have been by her side for so long are: Pat Smith of Martinez, GA; Bea and Joe Cook of Martinez, GA; Ramona Johnston of Appling, GA; Rita Wren of Grovetown, GA; Donna Butler of North Augusta, SC; Babs and Dale White of Martinez, GA; and Sandra Hardee of Martinez, GA. Ms. Fuller was pre-deceased by her former husband and the father of her children, Aubrey "Al" Sherwood Fuller; her parents, Paul H. Davis and Georgia L. Davis; and her brother, James Thomas "Tommy" Lane. A memorial service will be held at Warren Baptist Church on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. with interment at Highland Cemetery in Rogersville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends and visitors at the home of Mollie Fuller, located at 3650 Marlboro Street, Martinez, GA 30907 at any time. Donations may be made to Trinity Hospice of Augusta, GA, the American Cancer Society or the television ministry of First Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia.
