Questions continue to pop up in the wake of Tuesday's announcement that the Augusta Lynx were disbanding. Here are answers to some of the more frequently asked questions.

Q: The team's future seemed to turn positive on Monday when Lynx co-owner Dan Troutman said, "I feel more optimistic today than I have in the past few weeks." What happened?

A: "I don't think anything changed," Troutman said. "But the long and short of it is, the two folks that really had the most interest in and asked all the right questions, one of the two could not respond as quickly as needed to have happen. I was unbelievably hopeful about that one. The other one, at the end of the day, just decided it was more of an undertaking than he wanted to do. It's just a tough business time now. People that have money are hanging on to it just as tight as they can not knowing where it's going."

Q: Michael Kahn, owner of the Charlotte Checkers, said on Sunday night, "I think you might see some things happen before Tuesday gets here." Was he a potential investor and what happened to his prediction?

A: "His crystal ball's not so good," Troutman said. "The only thing I'm going to tell you is we're not going to list everybody that we discussed this with. ... He, obviously had a lot at stake, having the busiest building in the South as far as any rescheduling, but we're not going to give any names. We traded financial information with over a dozen different groups of people during this process, and then we talked to several others where there just wasn't any interest. But I'm not going to put anybody's name out there. I don't think that's fair to them or would serve any purpose."

Q: Will I get my money back if I'm a season-ticket holder?

A: That is just to be determined.

"We don't know what's going to happen there," Lynx co-owner Robert Burch said at Tuesday's news conference. "We're not going to be able to answer future questions very well. We just have to deal with that this week."

Q: Can I still get Lynx merchandise?

A: Yes. Kyle Daniel of Designworks Graphics ran the Lynx merchandise table along with his family at home games and said all the remaining memorabilia will be sold beginning Friday at his shop at 3817 Martinez Blvd, Suite D in Martinez. Some of the merchandise will also be auctioned off on eBay.

"I don't have all the accounting numbers in front of me but I know we just added some new inventory this past weekend before we knew what was going to happen," Daniel said. "So all Lynx merchandise will be 50 percent off. I'm hoping it goes pretty fast."

Q: What impact does this have on James Brown Arena?

A: The Lynx had 29 home games remaining including 19 weekend dates that are now open. Monty Jones, general manager of the arena, said he spent most of Wednesday morning making calls.

"We're just on the phone aggressively trying to fill these dates," he said. "It's an unfortunate thing, and all we can do is make a lot of calls."

Jones said most of the ice equipment, which is owned by the arena, will be used this weekend for the Disney on Ice show and will then be stored away at the arena.
