Send Darrius J. Ware, a piece-of-trash to the human trash pile, prison.
The murder trial began Monday for an Augusta man accused of killing a bicyclist while fleeing police.
Darrius J. Ware, 20, has pleaded not guilty in Richmond County Superior Court to charges that include murder, vehicular homicide and numerous traffic violations.
Mr. Ware is accused of killing 47-year-old Theodosia Mack on Feb. 10, 2007, near Olive Road and Cooney Circle.
The chase started just after 1 a.m. at Gordon Highway and Highland Avenue when a 2005 Dodge Magnum passed Richmond County Marshal David Dressel, who was in uniform and driving a marked car.
Marshal Dressel testified that he was in the middle lane when the car sped past on the right. The people in the vehicle on his left gave him a look that meant, "What are you going to do about that?" he testified. He pursued the Magnum up Gordon Highway almost to Tubman Home Road, where the driver pulled into a parking lot.
Dispatch notified him that the car had been stolen in DeKalb County, Marshal Dressel testified. As he pulled in behind the car, a Richmond County sheriff's deputy also pulled into the lot. The car then took off, Marshal Dressel testified.
Both officers lost contact with the Dodge and ended the chase on Olive Road, Marshal Dressel testified. They were backtracking when they found the Magnum demolished by a pine tree on Olive Road. Nearby, Marshal Dressel found Ms. Mack's mangled body.
Testimony continues today. Among the expected witnesses is the deputy who took part in the chase.

but you don't understand, he wasn't evading the police based on historical data and years of oppression and the false promise of "40 acres and a mule" this "gentleman" was only trying to excercise his rights of freedom and evade oppression by "the man" it is the "whiteman's" fault that he didn't stay in school and probably couldn't read/write...THIS LADIES AND GENTLEMAN WHAT HIS "SCUM-BAG" LAWYER WILL TRY TO SAY AND HAVE THE NERVE TO PLEAD HIS CLIENT INNOCENT, INSTEAD OF PUTTING IS CLIENT ON THE MERCY OF THE COURT AND ALLOWING THE COURT TO PUT THIS SUBHUMAN IN JAIL FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE
Guilty Guilty, throw him under the jail!!! [filtered word]!!! and its not his first time being a little [filtered word]!!!!!! He's into drugs guns and violence, and even since this murder the little [filtered word] assaulted someone. He doesnt learn his lesson and hes been arrested several times in a short 2 year or so period and has yet to be punished properly, but yet they allow him to be on the streets. No sympathy for this little thug, I hope they give him a looooooong time to think about what a [filtered word] he has become, but I doubt any of it will change him. Maybe had they hrown the book at him a little harder a couple years ago he would have learned something,. But even when his ignorant selfish ways caused him to kill someone, does he care??? obviously not becuase the [filtered word] is still getting in trouble!!! How much does someone have to do before they are put away and not released on bond to hurt more people?? It's ridiculous, he should not be free period!!!!
I didn't realize that someone exercising their right to counsel had to have a "scum-bag" lawyer. But, I suppose it's okay for you to slander someone you don't even know in the safety of this forum.
If you don't like his lawyer, why don't you come to the trial tomorrow and tell him yourself? Maybe his lawyer can come to your place of work and tell you what a [filtered word] you are, jisomjr.
There is no excuse for what this kid did, but have you thought that maybe he has a legal defense to the charges? You can kill someone and it doesn't have to be murder, sir.
I am guessing you didn't have these thoughts, though, since you clearly have neither the education nor the guts to express yourself in an intelligent manner.
Even if he did not intend to kill someone, when you are living a criminal life, and your criminal actions cause someone their death it SHOULD be a murder charge, becuase it wasn't an accident!!! Had he been on the way home from work and had a medical emergency or maybe even fell asleep, it could be negligence. But given the fact this guy is a repeat offender violent gun toting drug doing criminal [filtered word], I have no sympathy and no excuse is good enough. Then the [filtered word] blame everyone but themselves and get a lawyer to try get them off like the [filtered word] brian nichols who cost this state millions. The only thing I may see any point on is he's not the only one who should be charged with the cyclists death, but the judges and lawyers who got him slaps on the wrist for all his other charges should be punished too. Had they done thier job and punished him the way he should have been he wouldnt have been free to kill someone with his criminal selfish behavior!!!! On top of everything he was DUI!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No sympathy for this [filtered word] Anytime you dui and kill someone it is not an accident, its murder, he knew before driving he was DUI!!!
TAS...So it's Brian Nichols fault that he didn't plead guilty to the death penalty? They didn't offer him life without parole, so all he could plead to is death. So that's HIS fault? Also, Mr. Ware has no convictions on his record. Guess that makes him a [filtered word]? Finally...he's not charged with DUI.
By the way...told you.
He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter---not murder.
