SEC honors Tebow, Jerry and Jones

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Southeastern Conference named Tim Tebow, Peria Jerry and Gerald Jones players of the week.

Tebow passed for 185 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for 80 yards and another score in No. 2 Florida's win over Florida State.

Jerry led Mississippi's defense with two sacks and two other tackles for loss in a shutout of Mississippi State.

Tennessee's Jones won special teams honors after accounting for 135 all-purpose yards and a touchdown against Kentucky.

Lineman of the week honors went to Alabama center Antoine Caldwell and Florida end Carlos Dunlap.

Arkansas tailback Dennis Johnson earned freshman honors.
