Congratulations, Barack Obama, on being the first black president-elect.
History was made. All things are possible if you only believe. If you don't get into the race, you will never know what you can do. Yes we can!
To God be the glory, for great things He has done, is doing and will do.
I am so proud and happy. Tears of joy came to my eyes as Obama gave his acceptance speech. He covered all races standing there and at home. He's for all Americans, and said to those who voted against him that "I will be your president too."
My Bible tells me over and over to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep (Romans 12:15). As I watched and heard Obama, I was reminded of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He fed 5,000 with two fish and five loaves of bread. People came to see Jesus for different reasons. Some to criticize, others for food, others for the word.
Then along came Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. -- preacher, speaker so eloquent; 250,000 attended the march on Washington. and the "I Have a Dream" speech.
Now, when Barack Obama speaks, he draws 100,000 and more.
A change has come. A change for better things to come. Hope for the hopeless, peace, faith, unity, coming together regardless.
It's not about Obama. It's about all of us -- God's people.
It will take a long time to clean up this mess. Please give Barack Obama a chance. He will do good.
Let us all pray for him and his family, and everyone.
I wish my parents, brothers, Dr. King and others had lived to see this. But to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
