Joan Carolyn Nipper (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Ms. Joan Carolyn Nipper, of 13th Street, entered into rest Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Heartland Hospice. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 1, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Good Sheppard Baptist Church with Rev. William F. Bass officiating. Burial will be in Oakey Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Evans, Ga. She was a native of Richmond County, Ga.; a member of the Tremont Temple Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Usher Board, Kitchen Ministry, Mission, Women's Ministry, Health Ministry and the Pastor's Support Ministry. She was a retiree of Gracewood State School and Hospital after 30 years of service. Survivors are one daughter, Karen Nipper Palmer, Hephzibah; two sons, Christopher (Jeanette) Nipper, Charlotte, N.C. and Carl Nipper, Sr., Augusta; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Odessa W. Williams, Augusta; brother, Alvin (Jean) White, Hephzibah; devoted cousin, Sadie Allen, Augusta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
