EVANS, Ga. - Entered into rest November 28, 2008, Mrs. Ruby Roye, wife of the late Mr. Leonard Roye, Sr., of Evans, Ga. Mrs. Roye was born in Augusta, living her life in this area she was a member of the Baptist Faith. She was the daughter of the late Johnny and Lizzie Lowe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Roye, Sr., two sons, Mr. Leonard Roye, Jr., Randall Roye, one daughter, Selina Roye. Survivors: two sons, Rex Roye, Evans, Ga., Raleigh Roye, Lincolnton, Ga.; two daughters, Verline White, Grovetown, Ga., Melissa Roye, Augusta, Ga.; one brother, Johnny Lowe, Hephzibah, Ga.; one sister, Helen Cushman, Martinez, Ga.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at 3 p.m. in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Byrd; Rev. Raleigh Roye, officiating. Entombment in Westover Mausoleum. Family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. and Monday between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m. Pallbearers: Timothy Roye, Brandon Lane, Douglas Robinson, Armand Randall, Garrett Goble, Grayson Goble, Josh Freeman. From the family: Our Beloved Mother went to be with her Lord. She gave us more than life, she gave us strength, love, grace and humility. She was our teacher, doctor, minister, and mother. She overcame hardships and tragedy with grace, love and dignity. She was a faithful wife who never left her husband's side. She raised seven children and each and every one a child of God. She is now with our father and brothers and sister in heaven. The world now seems colder, meaner, without her in it but Heaven is another Angel richer. Thomas L.
