Paul R. Hatcher (NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.)

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Paul R. Hatcher, 77, husband of Joyce H. Hatcher, of West Ave., entered into rest Friday, November 28, 2008 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of North Augusta with Dr. Gary C. Redding and Rev. Jerry T. Matthews officiating. Interment will be at Pineview Memorial Park. Mr. Hatcher was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta and the Aquilla Priscilla Sunday School Class. He was devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Hatcher operated Hatchers Auto Service for approximately 50 years before retirement. Additional survivors include three sons, Paul Michael Hatcher (Beth) of Clarks Hill; Charles Gregory Hatcher (Rhonda) of North Augusta; and Stephen Phillip Hatcher (Mary Beth) of Beech Island; one daughter, Kristi Hatcher Lucas (Steve) of North Augusta; one sister, Sandra Welch (Mervyn) of Highland Home, Ala.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Aquilla Priscilla Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends, Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rowland Funeral Home.
